ABOUT ME

My name is William Barney,

I enjoy everything from arts/crafts to building models and love to share them with anyone who is interested. I love to express my imagination through my art, to bring to live something in a new and exciting way and to explain what I was thinking at the time.

I born and raised in Arizona until I was 10 years old. My family and I then moved to the Kansas and have lived there to this today. I have been doing art and modeling since I was 5 years old, then over the years my skills have gotten more and more refined. It was when I turned 19 years old that I got more serious about modeling and art as a profession.

Over the years I have won many art contests. I have attended courses and acquired qualifications; I have produced art and models for people and have contributed to local schools magazines. My Britannic wreck model was even published in Peter Davies-Garner's book "Titanic and her sisters Olympic and Britannic"

As well as creating unique models and drawings I also have been selling models of my Titanic boiler, my area of expertise isn’t just with marine, family is very important to me and so as a gift I have produced a replica RX delivery car from my grandpa's old drug store.

Since completing my big project, the Britannic wreck at 1/350, I have been working with smaller scratch builds but I do have bigger plans underway so as they say, Watch This Space!

Thank you for your time.

William Barney & Britannic.
